Bred by longtime Legacy Bloodstock clients Bob & Alice Austin, Chicks Dig Scars was sold by Legacy at the 2018 Keeneland November auction.

The son of Darby Dan Farm’s Tapiture finished first, but was disqualified and placed second, from his two-furlong debut at Prairie Meadows June 21. He graduated officially going 4 1/2 furlongs on July 11.

In his stakes debut, the bay gelding zipped out to the early lead and was in control through fractions of :22.33 and :46.43, skipping further clear when challenged late to score an easy victory.
